Hi, I’m so glad you found your way here.
This space — The Lykke Journal — was born in the middle of life’s messiest, most beautiful in-between moments. The ones we don’t always talk about — like crying on the bathroom floor, holding it together for the kids, rebuilding after loss, and slowly learning how to breathe again.
I'm a mom, a woman who's walked through grief, divorce, and loneliness, and still finds beauty in quiet moments — lighting a candle, stitching something by hand, or just sitting in the silence after the kids are asleep.
This blog is a soft landing for:
· Moms are doing their best through hard things
· Honest reflections on grief, healing, and single motherhood
· Crafting as a form of calm — and therapy
· Simple wellness rituals that don’t require perfection
· Real conversations — no filters, no fluff
I believe creativity can be medicine. Not in a Pinterest-perfect way, but in a this-is-keeping-me-sane kind of way. Whether it’s journaling, watercoloring, organizing a chaotic space, or just making something with your hands — it all counts.
Lykke means happiness in Norwegian — but not loud, jumping up and down happiness. It’s the quiet kind. The peace-after-a-storm kind. The I-made-it-through-today kind. That’s what I’m chasing. That’s what this blog is for.
Thank you for being here. This space is for you, for me, and for all of us who are still figuring it out — with glue on our fingers, tears on our cheeks, and a little hope in our hearts.
With love
Silje - Founder of The Lykke Journal
